Kids love story telling and we parents too. Recently I came across a very innovative way of telling stories to kids where kids feature in the stories themselves. These videos are created by CurlyOrange.com and they are simply too good. You will definitely like them as they are not only fun but teach good values, good habits and more to kids in a fun way. The most important aspect of these videos is the kids star in these videos which is very new in India. You may try it yourself..

Telling stories inculcates good values in children. Every night I tell bed time stories to my kids before sleeping. You can even add some of your own experiences and value additions if any.

Storytelling is indeed an art. But once parents master this art, it pays to use one's imagination. In the present context cultural, this is no storytelling. Eye contact is a must with today's children. The Dr Seuss Books (USA) and Scholastic Books for kids have become very popular in the United States, mainly due to eye-catchy visuals. Repetition is particularly popular with the young. Typical of the repetitive story is the familiar Ginger Bread Man story. The hero repeats, 'Run, run as fast as you can! You can't catch me I am the Gingerbread man'. Today children enjoy stories which have colourful pictures and they expect the reader to have some kind of voice modulation for differnt characters.
